STANDARD 5 STATEMENT :

I use content knowledge to design and implement meaningful curriculum that supports all areas of development.

ARTIFACT

Artifact: Integrated Curriculum Unit Plan

I designed a one-week unit on “Weather” that included:

  • Science: observing daily weather changes

  • Math: graphing sunny vs. rainy days

  • Literacy: reading weather-related books

  • Art: creating cloud paintings

This unit integrated multiple subjects while keeping learning meaningful and engaging.

RATIONALE STATEMENT

This artifact demonstrates my understanding of various content areas such as literacy, math, science, and the arts (5a). I incorporated key concepts and inquiry-based learning strategies (5b). Using early learning standards and my knowledge, I designed engaging and developmentally appropriate curriculum that supports all learners (5c).
